So, once I got the co-culture biopsy scheduler live on the phone, things were fine. Yes, maybe I was a little tense after the three earlier calls where her voicemail had refused to take a message because the box was full, but, once I tracked her down live, it was fine.
After careful consideration of both my freaky 26-day-but-I-surge-on-day-14-no-really cycles and the clinic's schedule of random closures (how does it help them to shut down co-culture biopsies during the second quarter of a series?), I have a tentative appointment for November 9. Call on day 1 of that cycle, call again when I surge, get blood drawn the day before.
This is as close as I've gotten to scheduling the IVF cycle itself. Which looks like it will end up in late November/early December, at the very end of the series, just before we leave for California.
I'm nervous about the timing. They only do 12 co-culture biopsies a week, 6 on Tuesday and 6 on Thursday. It's got to be between 5 and 12 days after my surge, but for me that means between 5 and 9, probably, at least if they want to get my lining before it rots out.
The scheduler assured me that things usually work out, that people don't end up getting pushed out of a series because their biopsies can't happen. But, waaaah.
Glad you got it scheduled....I've not done co-culture, but for some reason scheduling stuff like this with Cornell is always such a trial....
