The good news: the book is in!
Even better, there was no co-author-on-co-author violence in the final days, despite the sudden (brief! it came back up! oh my god!) collapse of our version control system.
The bad news: this grading thing. So I just started. Like, for the semester. This afternoon. They're way ahead of me: seven assignments in, and another coming tomorrow. Wheeeee!
You have GOT to be more careful with those titles -- for a minute, I thought you were talking about something else.
Whew. At least it's just grading. Which sucks. But still.

I did the same thing - my heart was in my throat.
But congratulations on the book! I just finished a major project at work that's been hanging over my head since January, and it feels wonderful. I bet being done with the book feels even better.

No real news on the other stuff until Thursday... I feel less bloated, less tired, less queasy, which is all worrisome, but so vague as to not really be worth complaining about.
... and, for the other other stuff, my grandmother is still in the hospital and still very weak. Both my uncle and his wife have tested positive for TB and have moderately compromised lung function. They'll get chest x-rays on Thursday, but are already looking at months of drugs.
No news and moderate-to-bad? Yeah, I guess.
